TeachCS Certificate Program Application

The TeachCS Graduate Certificate program at Shawnee State University prepares in‑service secondary teachers to offer College Credit Plus Computer Science courses in their school districts. Applicants will provide standard application information along with the following required materials:

A one to two page personal essay describing your computing background and what you hope to gain from graduate coursework in Computer Science.
A letter from your school administration indicating support for offering CCP Computer Science courses beginning in Autumn 2027, Spring 2027, or Autumn 2028.
Undergraduate and graduate transcripts.

This program is designed to help teachers expand opportunities for students in Computer Science.
